What is .ch?

.ch is the country-code top-level domain of Switzerland; the letters stand for Confoederatio Helvetica, the Latin name of the country. The registry is run by the SWITCH foundation, which also operates .li for Liechtenstein.

Open to registrants worldwide. A holder outside Switzerland can be asked to provide a Swiss correspondence address when the authorities require one.

.ch is not listed in the IANA RDAP bootstrap file dated 2026-09-16, so no public RDAP service is announced for it. OrbitProbe falls back to the classic port-43 WHOIS server (whois.nic.ch).
